A Columbarium (Home of Peace) is an area reserved for the interment of cremated remains of the deceased. It is also a place for meditation and prayers. You can still show that your loved ones are in your thoughts and prayers even though they have been gone but not forgotten. A Columbarium is a structure which is divided into niches. A Niche (12 X 12 inch) holds one urn into which cremation ashes of one or two decedents are held. Names of the decedents are inscribed on memorial plaques which identify the niches. As many as two persons may be interred in a single niche. At the time of the second interment in the niche, a new plaque must be ordered through Mother of Perpetual Help Parish in conformity with the requirements of uniformity and cleanness throughout the Columbarium. Marble is another favorite choice for cremation urns, because marble is pure, natural and enduring. If you wish, you can purchase marble urns for one or two decedents from our parish. Our marble urns are beautiful and specifically designed to fit our Columbarium niches.
